MISS VONNY 

Principal Dance Teacher and Business Owner

Our Principal, Founder and Studio Owner opened our school with just one class a week in Market Rasen originally held at the Methodist church rooms. Today Vonny teaches a variety of dance styles across many classes a week within her two studios based in central Market Rasen & Wragby. 

From the age of 6 years old Vonny attended dance lessons in Grimsby for Ballet, Tap, Modern and Stage, sometimes up to 7 days a week. She attended twice yearly local Dance Festivals and took her examinations with the IDTA, consistently receiving the highest marks award from the examiners. Once her mind was made up at 10 years old that she wanted to be a Dance Teacher it was clear her pathway needed to change and she joined another local school to focus less on performance and more on how to become a teacher, with further examinations taken with the RAD in Ballet and ISTD in Modern/jazz to the highest levels her dream was realised.

Her extensive and varied teacher qualifications enables her to place her own students into examinations with The Associated Board of Dance with her repertoire extending but not exclusive to Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatic and Commercial Dance styling's.

Vonny has also won awards for her unique choreography when attending competitions with her students across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Her individual styles and ideas being widely commented on and receiving feedback sheets with marks well above 90% for her originality and sympathetic approach of real life subjects delivered by her students through the performance of dance.

This recent accolade has given her the courage to run her own Dance festival with the help of the friends of the school. The Festival based at The Grimsby Institute "The Lincolnshire Wolds Dance Festival" is the first of its kind to the area, enabling students from far and wide with little or no competition experience to compete in a friendly, yet professional environment on stage.

Miss Vonny doesn't just teach the physical classes for dance she is also head choreographer, music editor, school administrator, costume designer, safe guarding officer, parent liaison and general house keeper.

MISS ANNIE

ABD Dance teacher, Acro & Gymnastics Coach & Street Kids Instructor

I started dancing at the age of two, and didn’t fall in love with it at first, I use to hide under my teachers table but then I just started joining in and have loved it ever since. Training at Urdang, Expressions, KS Dance, Derby School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet over the years have helped me to really love every aspect of dance. ‘Practise for progression not perfection’ After graduating my Diploma in professional dance and BA Hons in Dance I travelled around the UK performing in numerous touring groups and musical theatre performances and professional shows in many styles of dance. I am so excited to start this new adventure with Colebrook School of Dance and Performing Arts and grow with the school.
